Connecting to MySQL Database for Applications that need it

I run a gaming server, and some of the plugins require a MySQL Database to run. I currently am using Google's Developer Console to host my SQL DB but my website can't connect to it (also required to see the logs), so I decided to try x10's DBs.
I can be able to connect to the MySQL DB using 'localhost' for my website, however for my server, I don't even know the Hostname/IP for my server to even try to connect to it.
Can someone help? And no, do not even say 'localhost' because it is NOT that. I don't have a MySQL DB running on my PC.
