I've read a lot of posts about connection problems, so I thought I'd post a report as well in a hope to get some clarification and possibly help on how to deal with this.
First of all, my issues started almost a week ago now, pointing my co.cc domain to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com after losing my previous hosting to very poor administrative actions.
It resulted with a bug within my account's cPanel where the entry for the previous domain didn't get removed when the domain was changed or removed from the front-end.
Now, after getting help with the very awesome admin and account manager staff here at x10hosting it sorted itself our in the end and I've been able to sometimes access my hosting account through the co.cc domain.
It's already been way past the 48-hour period most DNS servers require to update DNS reroutes and I'm getting a lot of Connection Reset and Unable to Connect from Internet Explorer, FireFox, Opera and Chrome from many of my World of Warcraft guildmembers and myself. Some cannot even access the website using the domain, even after flushing their computer's DNS cache or flushing the modem/router's DLS line.
The strange thing is that I did not previously have any trouble at all accessing my account through the x10hosting.com subdomain that I had, nor do I have any problems connecting using lotus' server IP, appending my username to the address path.
The domain is http://cox-guild.co.cc, http://cox-guild.co.cc/forum/
While I'm at it, I must add that I sometimes manage to connect to my webserver, but in 8 of 10 tries, it either resets the connection or won't let me or anyone else connect to it. It seems to shut off for a couple of minutes, then be available for a couple of minutes until repeating the cycle. I've also made sure to read up on the Server Status messages from x10hosting, especially about lotus, so I know that there are some account deletion/suspensions going off with inactive accounts and such.
I've already also checked with Co.cc and everything seems to be in order on their side as they haven't had any connectivity issues at all in the past few days. So I don't really know what the problem can be.
