Connection resets

I didn't really get an answer for my last request, the best I got was 'the forum loads fine for me'. More and more of our members are saying that they regulary get connection resets after posting.

You also get delays between rooms. Sometimes the forum loads great but you still get delays afterwards but mostly the delays you get are when posting or replying. It is an smf forum and there are a few things in the admin control panel that might help such as cacheing at different levels but I am unsure which one to use.

Any advice would be great. I have set another test account for you to use. Username = test, pass = test.

The forum might use a alot of resources while posting or replying and that is why it maybe slow.

sometimes it is slow sometimes it works great but more often than not it is slow. Surely if it used that much resource it would be slow all the time no?

can't connect at all btw, tried to get in forum to add test account but just get connection resets now,

Well, actually it sometimes depends on the forum and sometimes on how many people are runnings things on the server, like if 300 people are trying to make a post on 20 different forums than it might lag.

The problem is the server not the application he is using. Lots of people are having the same issue since the transfer which seems to have slowed the stoli server right down and its offline nearly more than it online

I agree, I wouldn't have thought it would be the smf software and we only have a few members so the bandwith is very low. We are a UK based forum but with members across the planet.

I could not sign in yesterday but have managed to today but it is still slow, the old server was much more reliable to us than this one.

I know it is free and we are all grateful but it is getting increasingly frustrating to use it.

Managed to get in forum today and sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't. Now I'm getting a message saying that the server has closed the connection by remote server, whatever that means.
