I see no warning of account suspension because I am too busy to log into this forum. Nothing in the gmail. I got one a long time ago and logged in.

I am trying to log into the account but control panel not available, and site appears to be deleted.

I like your service, just need to know what I can do to keep it alive. This has been a problem with other free services: evaporating site.

There is no hosting account linked to the forum account you posted from. What was your cPanel username and we can do some more digging in the system?

It could be degarb. I think I couldn't log into the forum with that name and had to get degarb80.

Any guidance would help. Maybe I need to log into forum with degarb and just need to know the password or get it reset from email?

I just checked with someone and the cPanel name degarb was terminated 27/04/2011 as it was suspended for 15.09 days. This means that all of the data has been permanently erased. Feel free to sign up for a new account though.

Why was it deleted? Not like it was a porn site or sharing cracks. Was just a contact, very neighborhood local info site. Which probably only gets 2 or 3 legit hits per year--a small but valuable number to me. I am guessing to keep alive I need to post in this forum, or visit. If so is degarb80 linked to degarb? Also, no warning via email? I check email at least weekly. Otherwise, I am engaged in real world.

It is requiring me to use old email to signup, but requiring a password reset, which is not being sent as yet. (I need to go to work, and may not be back for 36 hours.)

Hello,

Emails about suspensions are sent automatically by the system. It's possible that you're using an email address different to that on file, which is where notifications are sent to.

I am confused. I have one account for forum with username. Now, trying to signup it won't let me cause main gmail.com account on file. But, possibly I my have used my family email. How can this happen?

Yes, I have two emails, and gmail picks up the family email address. And yes, the family is down this week on moving hosts. It will take me a day to fix this on my end. But I am still confused about everything.

The email address any alerts would have been sent to is: degarb[at]gmail.com
As I say, there is no user intervention involved in sending messages. It may have been put into a junk or spam folder and you may have missed it.
Nevertheless, the account is terminated now, and none of the data can be recovered. You should be able to add a new hosting account by signing in at https://x10hosting.com/control/login.php with the email address I mentioned and your password, then click "Hosting" in the header bar, and follow the links to create a new hosting account.

I assume it was took down for inactivity. What kind of inactivity: hits or ftp connections?

I signed up anew. But still 10 minutes and no email. I will check back tonight. Off again.

I vote this be every 90 days. 30 days goes by for a 41 year old, like 3 days for a 20 year old. I dread age 60, 30 days will be like a few hours.

It used to be 14 days, and was increased as many users requested it. I doubt it will be increased again, as it helps to keep the servers free of any inactive accounts.
