Copper Mine photo gallery doesn't work?

I recently got a coppermine photo gallery for my website, I have used it on other sites and I love it, unfortunately it is not working on my site. Is there some special way I need to configure it to make it work?

What is the error its giving? if its a 500 server error, log into cPanel, locate the logs section, and check the server logs to see whats going on.

Well when I try to upload it just says the upload failed.

how big is the file and how did you install coppermine?

The size is 18*18 and the filesize is 1.03KB.
I installed coppermine by using the fantastico installer.
