Could I Host an IPB on free hosting?

I currently use MyBB, but, I have a legitimate copy of IPB 3.1.4 AND a license key?
Is there some way for me to contact an x10 admin or something with proof to check my license key?
If not, I will continue using MyBB to not cause any legal trouble or get my account disabled.

Because I bought a 3.1.4 when it came out, and I don't want to have to pay to buy another one, besides, 3.1.4 has better skins...

If you have a valid license for the domain you install it on, there is no problem.

Yes, but an admin that can disable accounts might not even check, because assuming, they would just disable the account considering it's on free hosting... Is there a way that an admin can make a special note of me or something? I just wouldn't want my site to be shut down if I have a valid license.

In the case of IPB and vBulletin, we verify prior to suspending. We don't suspend-first-ask-questions-later, especially with IPB/vB, who both are pretty good about getting back to us for verification if needbe


Edit: As a note, in the case of IPB especially this is true - they don't embed license #'s in their files, whereas vBulletin does, so the lack of a visible license # doesn't instantly mean nulled, it just means we email IPB and ask first.
