Could not connect to my sql

Hi when I try and load any of my database driven sites I get the error could not connect to mysql, when I log into my cpanel I get the error message on sqlphpadmin the socket is not configured correctly, this wasn't the case yesterday evening, is there a problem with the hosting servers database's?

No problem.
It's happened to my account too, and loads of others. Probably something to do with that chunky post on the homepage of the account panel.

Cross fingers things will be sorted out
