Hi,

I am currently using the X10 free web hosting which I find really good and i am considering moving to the paid hosting however i recently encountered a problem.

I have uploaded my website through Serif Website X5 and it was working fine but then i started using my actual FTP account, severnri and I uploaded the website again but whenever I went to the domain name i just got this error:
[h=1]404 Not Found[/h]The resource requested could not be found on this server!

However i could defiantly see the files in the manager so am at a loss to why it does not work.

Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thank you again for a great service.

What is the exact filename of your home/index file?
Index.html is not the same as index.html
It should be located in public_html

If your talking about the name of the file next to the home symbol it is, /home/severnri

Is this right?
Thanks for the help

It looks like you wiped out your the directory /home/severnri/public_html , where your site actually has to go.

From the screenshot you posted - it looks like you deleted most if not all account system folders

best way now is to ask to have your account deleted and start over with a new account

before you start work on a new account - you should read [ Getting Started Wizard ] near top of cPanel's home page

Really, is there no other way?

Is there not something like a restore button or somewhere where i could get all the files i have before from?

In short - NO
When you delete a file or folder (with the files inside) it is gone - removed from the system

From x10hosting's Terms of Service (TOS)

Backups are the sole responsibility of the customer.* x10Hosting retains and offers backups to the customer but does not guarantee this service from failure. It is recommended all customers keep their own backups. Backups will not be provided to account holders who have been suspended for breaching the terms outlined on this page.

How would you recommend i go about deleting the account so i can at least keep the domain?

Thanks
