There are temporary blocks and permanent. Temporary range from 1 to 6 hours. If the user has been blocked for over 6 hours they got themselves a permanent block. Blocks are usually from people failing to login to a certain service such as cPanel, FTP, or SSH multiple times in a short period of time. Permanent blocks are generally held for a month before being removed unless done manually by staff.
