Whenever I try to login to cPanel with my user name and password it gives error "Login Attempt Failed" But I can login to Account Panel and so my username and password are correct. What could be the problem?

Secondly I want to use my own Domain name instead of x10hosting's subdomain name how I can use it. What steps I have to take to do this.

Also I have not found my FTP login info ( Hostname, username etc.) anywhere. What will be the FTP and cPanel login details after shifting to my own domain.

username : mygod
cPanel URL : http://bestpages.x10hosting.com:2082/
server : Absolut

Plz help I want to create my site ASAP.
thanks

cPanel on Absolut has been restarted. Please see if cPanel is working. To use your own domain. in the Account management panel check the box which says that you have your own domain and in the cPanel park the domain. The cPanel details will be the same and FTP details can be found in the cPanel.

Hi all,

First let me start by saying thanks for the FREE hosting

okay,

i created an account last night and after a few hours got the email confirmation that my account / hosting was setup with the relevant username and password along with the url's for account login,cPanel and support.

logged into my account manager panel okay and can see all the info (i also read the php news) ;).

tried to login to cPanel http://tf2.x10hosting.com:2082 and was greeted with the windows login dialog prompt asking for the usual. I tried loging in using my account details but couldn't so i clicked cancel and then was forwarded to http://tf2.x10hosting.com:2082 . Being prompted by the cPanel login for my user info i stuck this in and got the "Login Attempt Failed" error.

i left it over night thinking it might fix itself but still got the same. I changed my account password and left it for about 10 mins to propagate but still got no further.

tf2.x10Hosting.com is available to get to which is a good sign ;) however i am a little puzzeled as to why it says that the domain tf2.x10Hosting.com is available :roflwerd:.

Just thought i would post as much info as i could think of...

Hope you can help resolve this

Thanks

[EDIT]

after reading a few more posts.. i came across one that had a url to resend the info.. i put my login details and got this in reply

"No hosting account signup was found with the username that you specified. It is possible that the pending, unactivated signup was removed from the queue, so you may need to sign up again."

Currently x10 free hosting servers are under going a Global Update(MySQL, Issues, Etc.).

If you can't login to any of your accounts other than your forum account,

Stoli and Cossacks (The Servers) are under extreme maintenance to clean up all inactive accounts and prepare them for the copy over. Once complete Apache and services will be brought back online until it is time to copy them.

This means that if you can login to your accounts, any changes made won't be carried across when the backups are copied over.
So from this we can conclude that any changes made by staff to accounts won't stay either.
There is no ETA for the whole process, but Corey will periodically update the Global Update(MySQL, Issues, Etc.) thread as to when certain stages are completed.

For future reference :
For any events/situations/occasions such as this, information can be found in these threads.
News and Announcements & Server Alerts

All of us at x10hosting are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this, but it will greatly befit us all.

If you have any complaints about this Global Update(MySQL, Issues, Etc.), please read the Terms Of Service

Please disregard the above answer. I think there seems to be a problem with cPanel on Absolut. You will have to wait for an admin to resolve the problem.
