I don't know if this will help anyone or not that is having cPanel login issues.
Here's what I did:
I went to the account manager here - http://x10hosting.com/control and changed the original password.
While it would not accept the original password at cPanel it would accept it in the account manager to change the password.
Once I did that it worked like a charm.
