cPanel not opening

I have been trying to access my cPanel for about an hour and a half now, but it won't seem to load. A couple times after loading for about 5-10 minutes it will prompt me to download the file "index.php". I'm on Chopin and my cPanel username is dr4pes.

Ya, that's what I was thinking, I just found it wierd that I haven't seen anyone else post an issue about this. I figured I would give it a try.

i have the same problem. and also i can't access to FTP, and my web doesn't load.. seems is a chopin's issue, hope some admin could check it soon

Chopin is showing SMTP and HTTP offline at the moment.

Ok thanks, I was trying to find somewhere that I could check server status. Heh, I was starting to think I could only check it by logging in to the server. I'll have to bookmark that link.

It is handy, but can only be refreshed every 5 minutes with new data, so if you load the page at 13:00, it will be 13:05 before any new data is displayed.

but, that server status is not well-working due to cpanel and FTP are oflline and there both are shown as online xD!!!

some where i read that page was made by some x10 user and not from staff... so sometimes it isnt working correctly

It is showing cpanel as offline now.

EDIT: FTP issues may be down to a firewall issue.

My site hasn't been able to access its database all morning...it's time for me to get a paid host because I really need more reliability. Enough is enough...

Uptime is really quite good on free, but it depends on your server-some are more tempremental than others.

I'm on Lotus, which I understand is about average.
Starka and Stoli are supposed to be very reliable.
Chopin is supposed to be below average.

So, its a matter of luck really.

No. I've asked to be put on Starka beofre, but was told that x10 do not transfer accounts between servers. The only way would be to make a load of hosting accounts, and use the one that was put on the server which suited you-but that's a rather large breech of the TOS lol.

Bums, never mind, Chopin isn't too bad, I think this is the longest issue I've had with it thus far. I'll send the server a get well soon card and play some forum games till it gets better :biggrin:

i am registered here since december 2008 and i was first on stoli, then without notice, they transfer my account to chopin... that is unfair!!!!

I used to be on the dreaded Absolut server, until it kicked the bucket completely.....Lotus is fine for me.

i think we have to wait for some admin to check what is happening... and for some news about this problem
