cPanel password vs. forums password

I am confused about the relationship between my cPanel password versus my forums password.

There are some x10hosting sites where I think I should be using my cPanel password, but the site seems to want my forums password. One example of this is the support.x10hosting.com site.

Could someone please provide a definitive listing describing the difference between the two accounts and which one is used where?

The cPanel password is used for the AMP and cPanel. The forum password is used on the forums and support. This was done to keep the forums database and the cPanel database separated.
