Created MYSQL database doesn't exist?

I am using the free ad-free plan on the cossacks server.

I have used the cpanel mysql wizard multiple times in attempt to create a database. The wizard goes through completely, saying that the database was created successfully and that the username has been added to the database. Later when I use the database management tool, no databases show up as associated with my account. Is this a problem with the server, or is it my fault?
