Hello,

I'd like to set up a website for a friend using x10Hosting. However, I know that you have a policy against having more than one account, and even if they register the account first, I will still be using their account under my current IP address. Is there a way I could get some sort of "free-pass" for a few days to get this all done and then pass the credentials over to my friend?

Thank you.

Can't you have your friend create it and then you set up everything? I don't think you will be suspended for this either way, as long as you aren't using both accounts for yourself.

Either way (she creates the account or I create it), I will still be setting up the site using this computer, with the same IP address.

Thanks for reading the thread, because you obviously missed the part where I talked about a temporary pass.

What I personally would do, is have your friend do the sign up, you do the work, and then give it back to your friend. I have no idea how the backend detects duplicate free users, presumably by IP address, but IP isn't a 100% accurate determination. You can submit a ticket with what you're doing to let the staff know, but I don't think it's necessary.

Plenty of people on this forum have trusted me with their login information and I have worked on their accounts for a significant amount of time without any problems.
