cron job question and help?

/usr/bin/php -q /home/forumall/public_html/xxxxxxxxxx.php >/dev/null

That;s my command, how do I get it to email me whether it was successful for not every time it runs? If I can't do that then how can I save the output in a txt file?

If that doesn't work what good online services are there for this sort of stuff?
