You aren't allowed to have custom 404 pages.

you can have custom 404 pages, you need to make a file in your public_html called 404.shtml Please note that it is Shtml not just html. This is the page that the site directs the user to when they get a 404 error.

This works for 501, 401, 402 also...

Clearly, you missed the answer that was given. x10 does not permit custom error pages.
