daily perl cron job

hi i am trying to get a perl cron job working without success

in cpanle/cron i tried
/home/USER/backup/../../cgi-bin/crondump.pl
perl /home/USER/backup/../../cgi-bin/crondump.pl
/usr/bin/perl /home/USER/backup/../../cgi-bin/crondump.pl

right now it is set to every 5 minutes to see if it works. as soon as it works it is supposed to happen once a day

what am i doing wrong? any help appreciated

What are you doing wrong? You're using Perl. It's not enabled on Free Hosting accounts. The only scripting language you can use with Free Hosting is PHP.

are you sure? i assumed it does, since a mod explains to somebody in free hosting how to use it in this thread
