This is the second time within a few months that I have woken up to my database breaking, this makes it really hard for me to create modules and do what I have to to get by as a freelance developer, last time I gritted my teeth and started over from scratch this time something needs to be done to better protect us and our work.

free hosting has its setbacks or pros and cons (obviously)
But there is only certain things the hosting can be accountable for.
and database or backup issues is not one of them.
databases are used/created by the account user not the hosting.
its also up to the user to manage/backup their own files,
the hosting is not responsible for that.
anyone with knowledge of how hosting works would know,
"always make backup of your files to avoid issues later on"
just my opinion.
