Database connection issue

Would the upgrades to Apache and CPanel affect the connection between my wordpress installation and my wordpress MYSQL database. I just started getting the following error around an hour or two ago:

Error establishing a database connection

The config file does have the correct database name, user name and password.

I think its all just down to the general problems that are happening at the morning, ive been getting db connection problems all day, at one point I managed to log in to cpanel and its said my databases where gone !!

A bit later they were back though.

I just hope everything gets back up soon !

hope this sheds some light as i think there is alot of work going on behind the scenes still that affects the free hosting

Its been like that for 6 weeks with Cossacks for me, didnt bump my own thread enough so it got locked
