Database error

When I open my site which is hosted in WordPress, I get a database error message: "error establishing a database connection".

I logged in to my account and even checked my cPanel, Forums, and PHP MyAdmin status. I couldn't find my database there when trying to logon with PHP MyAdmin. What's wrong? I am worried if my data is safe.

Please help me out.

MySQL Servers for the free hosting have been taken offline via Corey for updates and he's trying to work out a few problems with phpMyAdmin as well.

It is not even letting me log into phpmyadmin...I am getting the following error when I try:

#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)

Voyager, as I stated in my previous post, the MySQL server has been taken offline. phpMyAdmin will not function until this server is re-booted, which will be done so hopefully soon (as soon as Corey's done with whatever he's doing).

Corey didn't give us an ETA on when these updates or service edits would be finished. I would say sometime in the next few hours, so long as things don't get too complicated, or go haywire.
