Delay after uploading files

Hi,
I have been using the free hosting services of x10hosting for a few days now and all the pages of my website are working well, however there is a delay of about 20-30 minutes (and sometimes more) between the time I upload new files on the file manager and the time my website reflects the change, does anyone know where that could come from?
I have tried refreshing every page and clearing the cache and browser history but it does not help.

Thanks, I have seen that too but I do not find the .htaccess file anywhere. I have tried to do this: https://community.x10hosting.com/threads/htaccess.194589/#post-932924 but the dialog box does not pop up

I am on x04, however right-clicking on File Manager from cpanel after resetting interface settings did not make the .htaccess file visible - in which folder is it supposed to appear?

you can have more than one [ .htaccess ] in your account - you should find one in [ public_html ]

Thanks - but I still cannot see it, even though there is "showhidden=1" in the url of my file manager

Check now; yours actually didn't have one as no software on your account needed one (forums and CMS' tend to come with a default .htaccess), so I created a blank one for you
