Deleted .zip file but the download links still works?

Just a little confused, I created and downloaded a backup of my site then deleted the .zip file from public_html but the link still works?

I don't want this file to be publicly accessible.

If it was cached, it should expire shortly; we use a caching system which will basically make a copy of every file accessed so it can be served quicker, but the cache does have a time-limit to anything added to it. Same reason why updating a stylesheet takes a few minutes to update.

I don't have the exact link but when checking the site just now, it does display the contents of your public_html, and no zip file is listed; based on that, the cache may already have expired.

Thanks, the link no longer works so I'm guessing the cache did indeed expire
