Dear Everybody,

How are ya? Good. Howz the kids? Sorry to hear that.

I have created a mess of all the files, etc and would like to figure out how I can delete all non-essential files and folders (including website) and start fresh.

I did all this while trying to get my website up from either Publisher 98 or Frontpage. I can't get my links to work and some pages have just gibberish on them. I tried putting the whole files into public_html. Then I tried to put all the images in the image file to see if the links would then work. Then I tried putting the whole shabangee into www folder. I sent a support ticket on Friday but no one answered yet.

Trouble is that going out to field with a shotgun and a blindfold will result in something getting shot but it probably won't be what you want. SO ACTUAL QUESTIONS:

1) Can I delete all non-essential files and folders (including website) and start fresh? (I have all backed up on media)

2) If I put all non images in public_html and images in image folder will my website magically appear?

website = fun7.x10hosting

You will still have to link to the images correctly on the site.

Your files should be in public_html.

If you create a folder inside the public_html folder called "images" then the link to the image would be fun7.x10hosting.com/images/link to image . gif/jpg/png.

Some of the folders and files are still needed in cpanel. However looking at your site it seems to be functioning fine. Did you manage to fix it already?

Thanks XXll. But no My hyperlinks don't work, for example on the first page. And Images are sometimes showing, sometimes not. Not only that but there are a lot of files and folders that seem to be listed in the file manager that I don't think go with my site.

But I am going to go back with your post in hand to look at the files.
