Well, like the good computer user I am, I pulled out my flash drive
one day without closing all the applications I had running off of it.
I was rewarded for my mistake with this:

Now, these files are all nonessential stuff. Don't need 'em, and they
aren't interfering with anything. However, I want them gone. Whenever
I try to delete/rename/cut/modify them via normal means (Explorer,
Command Prompt, etc.), I get an error - "Cannot delete file: Cannot
read from the source file or disk." I have tried using chkdsk. Does
anybody know how I can clear these away, preferably without
reformatting my drive?
