Design/layout criticism of portfolio

Hey, I'm looking for some ideas on how I could improve my websites look and feel. I want it to retain its simplicity.

Simplicity is typically a good thing... unfortunately, this is far too simple IMHO... That being said, using paragraph tags to create that buffer between posts always helps, or perhaps divs? I didn't look at the code but space between those posts can help on the eyes a TON! It couldn't hurt to create some kinda logo branding of some sort at the top because frankly, I'm really not certain what I'm looking at... I'm sorry hun, I don't mean to be... well... mean about it and I hope I don't come off sounding as such *sadface*

Now that I look at it again, it totally reminds me of the Admin backend to Joomla... Anywho, again, I'm so sorry if I sound mean here, sooooo not what I'm tryin to do.
