i guess like most sites ive tried today this one is fake two thumbs way down.

With the number of new sign-ups x10 gets every day, you can't expect it to create your account straight away. I'd give it about 24 hours before starting to worry, and even then you should check the forums to make sure account creations aren't disabled (and going into the queue to be created when re-enabled).
