Difference between www and public_html cPanel folder

Pls give the differences between folders www and public_html in cPanel folder

something related to www. extension of domain names?

They are the same.
The www folder is just a link to the public_html folder.

something to do with http://www.domain.com and http://domain.com

cause if u modify a file in public_html it automatically changes in www

The www folder is just a symbolic link to the public_html folder, so both will always be identical in contents.
