Directory listings

Not sure if this is the right section to post, but I'm having a slight problem that is bothering me.
If I create a new directory using File Manager and set it to be readable by everyone, I try to visit the directory URL in a browser and see a blank page. A friend told me that it's Apache that provides the directory navigation listing and I'm curious if there's a way to enable it on my site found at http://endejan.pcriot.com

Directory listings are not available with the current server set up. Please put a webpage up instead.

Having the directory listing can be a security issue.

If you must, you can have an index.php that will essentially do the same thing
