Is there a way where I can disable people from accessing my main page?

That will show an index of stuff I have and I want to disable people from getting access but allow them to view links to the websites I created within folders,

Add a file named index.html (do not capitalize) that has links to the pages you want them to see.

The best option when it comes to folders that are not supposed to have main (index) pages within (a CSS directory) would be to turn off indexing. Of course, if you want a main page (like without the file name) then you do something like what Angus said.
