Hi there,

I want to setup Google Business apps through DNS txt records and can't through my domain host (GoDaddy). I have already talked to them on how to resolve this. They told me because my domain is a .me extension I will have to update my DNS through my web host, which is x10hosting. I this true, if so how would I do that here?

Thanks,

cPanel -->
Domains --> Advanced DNS Zone Editor

"Add a Record"

Name: your domain name, without www
TTL: 14400
Type: TXT
TXT Data:: What Google want you to put there

What about just setting it up for the email portion?

What about just setting it up for the email portion?

For email, you will need to setup MX records (Mail Exchange records). In cPanel, under the box Mail, click on the MX Entry icon.

Select Remote Mail Exchanger, then enter the following for Google Apps:

Priority ---- Mail server
1 ---- ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
5 ---- ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
5 ---- ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
10 ---- ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM
10 ---- ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM

MX records, like all DNS records, can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate across the internet, but it usually takes a lot less.

Did you set the MX records to GMAIL through cPanel here?

According to http://who.is/, your MX records look correct, however you have an additional record going back to your domain with a priority of 0.

You need to remove the MX record with a priority of 0 to pxlc.me. This priority number means it will go back to our x10hosting servers and won't go to Google at all.

You can remove this from the MX Records page in cPanel.

The server with the lowest priority number should be ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM or it will not work properly.
