I've registered both ns1.x10hosting.com as well as ns2.x10hosting.com as name servers with my domain registrar for the domain ashonomics.com and it used to work just fine until recently.

Recently my account on x10hosting was suspended and after reactivating it, it has been 4 days and still DNS resolution does not work.

Help!

Thanks for the quick reply. Those are the domain registrars own name servers and they recommend keeping them there.

Moreover everything worked with this very configuration with the domain registrar before my x10hosting account suspension. Nothing has changed on that end.

The address sends me to your site at x10, but it displays the default x10 404 error page, ie DNS is working but you either redirect or rewrite to a non-existent page.

Oh! That part I know has a problem. I recently deleted the public HTML directory. Funny, for me the following is what I get:

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://ashonomics.com/

The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for ashonomics.com
The dnsserver returned:

No DNS records

Probably a temporary problem? I'll update the status here as soon as I see any change. Thank you so much for your help. Let's just hope it is not a DNS problem. Apache on the Starka server was updated recently I gather. Don't know if that has any connection with this. Thanks once again both of you.

If you are going to list the other nameservers, you really should make sure that they have address info.

I queried one of your "other" DNS servers and:

Code:
.. here is the nslookup result for ashonomics.com from server NS1.INDIAHOSTING.ORG, querytype=ANY :
 DNS server handling your query: NS1.INDIAHOSTING.ORG
 DNS server's address:	67.15.47.189#53

 ashonomics.com	nameserver = ns4.indiahosting.org.
 ashonomics.com	nameserver = ns2.indiahosting.org.
 ashonomics.com	nameserver = ns3.indiahosting.org.
 ashonomics.com	mail exchanger = 100 mx2.mailhostbox.com.
 ashonomics.com
 	origin = ns1.indiahosting.org
 	mail addr = 13lackhat.gmail.com
 	serial = 2010031502
 	refresh = 7200
 	retry = 7200
 	expire = 172800
 	minimum = 7200
 ashonomics.com	nameserver = ns1.indiahosting.org.
 ashonomics.com	mail exchanger = 100 mx1.mailhostbox.com.

See any address info?
