I just have a question (close this topic if i am being stupid). my account has just been created and whenever i type the url ss32.x10hosting.com, i get a DNS error. i re-read the PM i got and said that it would take at maximum a day for the DNS servers to be updated. is 24 hours really the maximum or can it take longer that 24 for the DNS to update or is this a problem?

Hi, same situation here with jordis.x10hosting.com (24 hours have passed, but not yet 72)
I can wait, that's no problem, but I wanted to ask whether there is the possibility to access our web space using the server IP, since it works so far to access my CPanel and my FTP
I mean something like nforchange mentions in this post:
nforchange said:
Access your domain before propagation

To access your sites before the domain has propagated, simply access via the server's IP address and the ~username of the account. So, that would be http://serverIP/~username.
This does not work for me, but I wonder wether a similar way (probably different path?) can be used for the same purpose.
If that could be done, it would be definately worth mentioning it in the initial PM & FAQ.

Also, probably it would be a good idea to mention in the PM with the registration info that it can take up to 72 hours, in order to avoid impatient users to start posting about why their domain is not working yet...
Just a thought.

The only way you can get to it besides using your domain is http://serverIP/~username but I dont think that works untill your domain has propagated.

Looks like everyones accounts that were just created are not working, I will notify Corey and maybe he can restart the dns server, if the helps.
