Messenger Plus! Live is an free add on for Windows Live Messenger and MSN Messenger. In add functionalities such as a JScript scripting engine and a Skin function. It enables tabbed chatting. It has many more functionnalities (too much for this post).
I'd like to know what you think of it.
BTW, I created a script for it, it's called Someone Said... I just updated the version so it will be available between the 20th and the 23rd of august.

Yep, Messenger Plus Live! adds the functionality that Windows Live Messenger should have had from the beginning anyway. Good little program, it integrates itself well with the client too.

I have never heard of it in my life.
Sounds good though, maybe Microsoft should put it into the main software on the next version!
BTW, where can I download it?

Unless you want to be spammed to death with on-screen advertising (is that even possible? well either way...) make sure you choose the option to not install the optional sponsor.

I used to use WLM and Plus!, but now use Digsby. Thanks to Chris73 for telling me about it!

Microsoft will never do that, they don't really listen to what users want (when have they ever taken feedback seriously; you make a suggestion and they get up on their high horse). This software has been around for a few years now, and Microsoft could easily have done work on messenger versions 8 and 9 to incorporate new features, but the only real change was in the program's UI. It'll never happen :).

And Sharky, that program looks extremely similar to Pidgin, just with a few alterations, looks pretty good.

They did once... anyways they created the plugin function just to not have to take feedback seriously.

I've heard of the Messenger Plus! Live plugin. The only thing is, I use a program called Trillian and I have no use for the plugin since I don't use WLM. Also don't forget, many people don't code their software to suit people's needs as I'm sure you're aware. This keeps problems down and makes the product as simple as possible and as small as possible to distribute and run. However, a lot of software creators usually put in a plug-ins and hooks system that allows users to make their copy of the software better. That's why they have plug-ins in the first place.

However, if a software publisher is seeing a plug-in that is extremely popular, they may include that into their software, much like how Simple Machines did in SMF 2.0 (I'm running the public beta!) and adding some things such as a warning system and a search engine robot detection system, both of which were heavilly downloaded and wanted mods.

I have heard of it, and used it a couple of times, it adds very good features to your Messenger, and it has lots of addon scripts, such as clone scripts and more.
However i find that it slows down the messenger on a basis, with loading times, message sending times and message recieving times.

But its a very good program for anyone to try, the enhancements are awesome. :p

It looks very good, and also allows to use multiple accounts at the same time.

Unfortunately, it is for windows only. I have Linux.

Pidgin has all of that automatically.
