I think they're dead, too. There's no practical use for them, and that's my qualification for dead.

There are those special instances that were pointed out with PCs not supporting usb or a dead cd.

And on newer motherboards, you don't even need a floppy to flash the BIOS now. My motherboard lets me do it from windows. Just download the update, and restart.

Yeah, it's already considered dead. My school doesn't even have floppy drives anymore, besides you can't really fit much on them. They make you use flash drives instead.

It's already dead. I can't remember the last time software was available on a floppy. The drives aren't included on computers any more. Most computer stores don't even offer floppy drives either. It's the same with simple cd drives. They are mostly multi drives that also burn discs.

I have a couple lying around, that might still work, if you're interested.
