Does Adsense really work?

On one of my sites, I'm signed up as an affiliate to show ads on the site, most if not all the adds I show are quite relevant to the site yet I still get very little revenue from it, The site is busy with over 20,000 page views a month yet no one seems to want to buy from the top class retailers that advertise there.

Of those that use adsense, is the revenue any better for a site getting what I consider to be an excellent visitor ratio for a small demographic area (four UK counties) only covering one theme (local football/soccer)?

Your thoughts and experiences would be most welcome.

Is that it?

BTW: Je suis tellement très heureux pour vous (Babel Fish ;) )

Yes, there were too many words in your post so I skipped that.

I don't speak French, sorry, my fiancee does though.

It works though not as great as it is hyped but may that is because my site is not that great one.

I got around USD 6 in 2 months :(

OK, fair enough.

The french is saying that I'm very pleased for you. I speak/read a little french, it wasn't until you get to the bit about being engaged that I got lost

I have earned about the same in 12 months with big retailers advertising on my site! Perhaps I'll give adsense a go, at least it would pay for my server if you get $6 every 2 months.

Its probably poor ad placement or non relevant topics, normally text link ads do better as they're not as obtrusive.

The ads hopefully aren't poorly placed, though it is a good point. What they are is highly colourful, many with up-to-the minute images of what they have for sale.

I'd never looked at it that way before but I only ever click on text ads, I will revue my advertising site-wide as that is a very interesting point you make.

I think, Google AdSense is good. My site is running AdSense with revenue Sharing. So users are coming and they also get revenue from my site. I'm getting $1.25/day from just 40% of the ad-revenue. I'm giving away 60% ad-revenue to users.

Google AdSense rocks!!!

adsense really works. you will only be payed when you reach $100. if revenue only you will get impressions only. your guests must click on your ads to boost your earnings. referrals will help too.
