Does Anybody Use Twitter?

I honestly don't understand the point of Twitter... it's like on-line SMS, but worse.

It's better than SMS because you can only send a SMS to one person, but with Twitter, you can announce it to everybody that visits your page.

Twitter is the first thing that made me feel old. I'm pretty tech savvy, but I can't motivate myself to get into twitter. Too many social networking sites as it is.
