Does x10 support LetsEncrypt free SSL certificates?

I was going to setup my subdomain with LetsEncrypt to get a free SSL certificate but with limited server access it could be a problem

If you have cPanel and no SSH access then your best bet would be to talk to your hosting provider and see what options they provide for SSL certificates for your domain. They should be able to guide you through obtaining and setting up an SSL certificate.

Just wondering

The current setup for x10hosting's free-hosting servers will not work with SSL or SNI (regardless of IP shared or dedicated or what cPanel shows)

In the meantime, you can make use of CloudFlare to act as a proxy front-end to your site, and enable SSL through them - so your users would connect to the CloudFlare servers via SSL, and in the backend CloudFlare would pass on that request to x10hosting using normal HTTP with a encrypted & compressed connection

Ah thanks, I wanted to use CloudFlare but I just tried configuring it on my free hosting subdomain and got the following error

Error response: We have detected that you are attempting to add a subdomain, or a zone that is already active on CloudFlare under a different account.

I'm guessing this is because x10 uses CloudFlare on their own domains, and I can only set this up if I bought my own domain

hmm that's exactly what I did

I clicked the grey cloud to enable CloudFlare in cPanel for my subdomain and that's when I got the error
