I recently had an issue with my account and contacted help to get it restored. Now I can login to the cPanel direct admin, but my website still shows "Apache is functioning normally". In the direct admin panel, it says that I have 0 domains and subdomains. It seems like my website is still in use though because I can't make another domain with that name. Is there a way to fix this problem? I want to continue using the same domain name.

There is a known issue when cpanel accounts are transferred sometimes the domains are not transferred properly. An admin will have to run this process. I'm requesting admin assistance.

You should now be able to add the domain to your account.

Thank you! I re-added the domain, but now my website says "To change this page, upload your website into the public_html directory". I still have my original files in the admin panel under the domain folder's public_html though. Is there something else I have to do to make my site work again?

you can check if it is added by trying this:
when you login to dirctadmin, look to see the domain is added by
going to system info and files > file manager > root > domains
check to see if you got 1 folder or 2 domain folders.
in case your files were removed/replaced when adding the domain name.
your site files would be in the public_html folder of the domain name.

I have not checked this on your account, so please do check the contents before deleting anything.

When a domain is added, there is an index.html file that is autogenerated, given what you say you see that is likely what has happened, and since html have priority over php that would be what comes up even if you have an index.php file in the same folder.

I just checked, and it was the index.html file that was changed. After I replaced it, my site is back again. Thank you very much for all the help!
