Hi There.........
I'm new to x10hosting and I see from the forums that the support is great......
I've signed up for the ad-enhanced plan (1GB disk space).......
I have many queries......I searched the forum but was too confused with the plethora of topics......
So I decided to make one.........
My site was http://anzil.x10hosting.com
I recently got a free domain from www.co.cc.It is http://www.anzil.co.cc
I'm relatively new to this kind of things so i'm just trying to learn at the moment.......
Yesterday I registered the domain and pointed the name servers correctly in the domain registrar site and then i parked the domain http://www.anzil.co.cc in my cpanel account.......
Today I removed the domain anzil.x10hosting.com and kept http://www.anzil.co.cc as the main doamin.........
It accepted it and showed it as my main domain......But when i logged in again after some hours it still showed http://anzil.x10hosting.com as the main domain......
I changed it again and now it seems to have worked......For now at least........
When i go to http://www.anzil.co.cc it shows me x10 page.........
But when i query DNS for anzil.co.cc it says no match........why is that ???
I mean its been more than 24 hrs since i pointed it to the name servers......and its also showing the x10 page...
My second question is that was it a good move to remove the anzil.x10hosting.com domain and keep www.anzil.co.cc as the main domain.....
Will it cripple some of my cpanel functions like email accounts......will i need to reconfigure something ????
My third question is that suppose i would use anzil.co.cc as a parked domain......then if i had a blog like say http://anzil.x10hosting.com/blog/index.html then would it show it as http://www.anzil.co.cc/blog/index.html ???
My fourth and last question is that in the domain registrar settings I see some A,MX,NS,CNAME records......Do I need to set some values for them for my site to work perfectly ???
Can someone shed some light on these things with respect to my website........
Thanx for all the patience......
