domain name change?

hey guys,
just started using x10 free hosting services, my WOT on yellow for some reason but i am loving it! just amazing! thanks a lot! but i was wondering if it is possible to change the domain name somehow?
I wrote what i thought i was going to use it for but plans changed and the name does not work with the content now. it would be a hastle but would really be awesome if changing the domain name is possible

Hello,

To use your own domain, either add it as a Parked or Addon Domain in your cPanel.

Use a Parked Domain if you want to access your main website via another name, or
Use an Addon Domain if you want to have a second website accessible via that name

Please be sure the domain's nameservers are set as followed:
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

*We do not support changing your account's main domain.*

You can also us an x10.mx or x10.bz, etc, domain as a parked or add-on domain. You do not have to go out and buy your own.

"mydomain.com" is now set to PARKED DOMAIN in cpanel and it is not redirected to any where else.when i type "mydomain.com" in addres bar of browser it automatically redirects to main domain "****.x10.mx"what is the problem behind this reason ??please somebody help me out.---> i already clear my browser cache and flush DNS. but no change. hope i will get replay soon.thank you

2. I do not see any Free Hosting account linked to this Forum account. You should post using the forum account that actually own the hosting account.

Ok. I can see your main domain name now, but not the parked domain? What is the parked domain?

Go to cPanel --> FileManager ( or use your favorite FTP client )

find .htaccess file in public_html

see if you can find the redirect or post the contents here.

sorry sir, actually i accidentally deleted that .htaccess file.
i searched a lot to resolve the same problem in this forum.
finally i found in a thread that if you delete the .htaccess file the problem will be solved.

so, i deleted that file.

Dont know what to do now ?

Try going to the Dolphin (if that is the script you are using) admin area. There should be somewhere to put the "site URL". Change that to your new domain name.

sir, the existing URL is http://lipak.x10.mx
when i am trying to edit http://btechlife.com, it shows an error "The URL and DIRECTORY name do not match"

what to do ??

first of all thank you for your help. i think this is not what i want to...my problem is why my own domain "www.btechlife.com" is not showing in address bar of browser instead of "lipak.x10.mx" ??

--> www.btechlife.com is now PARKED DOMAIN in cpanel.

-->i already clear my browser cache and flush DNS.

--> still the main domain "lipak.x10.mx" is showing in the address bar when i am trying to go my own domain "btechlife.com"

Hello,

The domain set in your parked domains section is not redirecting to any other URLs and does appear to be displaying the same website as your main domain (Except with mydomain.com in the URL bar instead of mydomain.x10.mx)
