Domain problems, again

Alright last time i was trying to get www.mwsoftware.net to be my domain name of my x10hosting site. I changed the nameservers but it completely shutdown all of the other subdomains i have already created.
What i want to do is point the subdomain members.mwsoftware.net to my IP so that it brings up my homerun server. Then I want www.mwsoftware.net to point to my x10hosting site. I tried just directing www.mwsoftware.net to the server i'm on but that doesn't work. I've read other options but don't quite understand them. Any suggestions on what to do?

OK the name servers shouldnt break any of that, as long as you set them up under x10

Assuming you havent changed anything on your domain since http://forums.x10hosting.com/level-two-support/61203-using-my-own-domain-name.html then you should find you should just be able to add as subdomain to your cpanel and point it to your / directory, and everything is good.

I understand that I can create a new subdomain and point it to a directory. But am as far as I could see I am unable to create a new subdomain and point it to another server, correct? Because that's why i'm trying to do.

You can use A or CNAME records to do this.
If you want to use an account on another server with the domain SUBDOMAIN.mwsoftware.elementfx.com, then what you need is an A record.
If what you want is SUBDOMAIN.mwsoftware.elementfx.com to show the content of domain.com, then you need a CNAME record.
A record requires the server IP Address.
CNAME record requires the domain of the website.

Tell me which and what you want it set to.

What I want to know is can I have www.mwsoftware.net as my x10 site and then can i have members.mwsoftware.net point to a server i run from home.

Yes, you can. As I've already told you, you can point sub-domains to another server by using A or CNAME records, which we can set-up for you.

alright well I just changed my domain name back to mwsoftware.net. If you could point members.mwsoftware.net to my IP (That's an A record I believe) I would be very grateful.
