Domain transfer

I have a domain hosted by another company that I wish to transfer to x10.

They will not allow me to change the nameservers, and this is the problem.

Will x10 actually hold the domain or do I need to transfer it to another place that will allow me to change the nameservers? Either would be fine.

I have successfully unlocked the domain and have the key, so that will not be a problem.

If you can get the domain name unlocked from the registrar you bought it from. Then yes we can hold the domain name for you. You will have to pay to transfer it but it also adds another year onto the life of the domain name.

Where would I go about doing said transfer? I can only find where I register a new domain and it just says unavailable D:

If you already registered the domain, go to the site you got it from and login, locate the place where you change the nameservers and it may provide a way to "unlock" the domain, right now they control it. We can't do anything. They lock them as a safety feature to keep some other company from taking control of them easier. But, as the owner you can unlock it. If you can't find it, email their tech support asking them to either unlock it, or to change the nameservers for you.

The domain is currently Unlocked.

A transfer verification code , which I have, is needed to transfer the domain.

I can't find the place to do the transfer on this end.

lumpity bump..

I found a place on the other domain host that let me change my nameservers.. so it's fixed for now.

I'd like to switch it by the end of the month though, as it would save the hosting fee of the other site, which is like $13 a month or something D:

so it would actually be cheaper to pay for the transfer than to keep it on the other host.
