hi, i had some doubts about some of the features in cpanel. I thought i could get answer to it here.
I CAN SEE 'Change Permission' in the Filemanager. It provides some options saying that user can edit the pages and so on... I need some clarification about the use of 'Change Permission' Facility.

Since i have always been uploading files as usual has before, i dont have any good knowledge about FTP. Can anyone give me a brief idea about FTP and its Uses.

Another question, whats the use of SQL Database? Is it for Contact Form like forms?

The File permissions are three types

Read
Write
Execute

And change Permissions will set the these permissions to

You (Owner)
Group
Other

Generally the files we will give 644 and for folders 755. You can set the file permissions using ftp too.

Regarding mysql, Most of the time all the sites stores the data and its options in the database.

Well, when can/should i use that facility? Whats the use of it?
And how can anyone 'write(change)' the document(file) if i assure the facility to all(GUESTS).
