Downloads?

It is in the terms that I am not allowed to upload copyrighted files in the server right? What if I put a download forums in my forum and have the members post links of downloads? Will it still violate the terms even if its not uploaded in the servers?

If members post links to copyrighted downloads, it is allowed if they're posting a link to a site distributing that download legally, such as the official developer's website or something like CNET Download.com.

Basically, the links of downloads must be legal.

If they are legally allowed to redistribute the file, yes.

If you try to link to something like Windows 7, or a popular game from EA, it's considered linking to warez and would warrant a permanent suspension.

Just to point out that seems to have been asked too late - a quick perusal of your forums yielded MULTIPLE illegal links to full version movies including Iron Man 2.

You are now permanently suspended for violating the TOS - next time ask first BEFORE deciding to put the links there and risk it.


Edit: Part of the reason it's permanent is how long they've been there - 9-7-10, in a section devoted to movies, and there were -lots-.

Should've asked first, or searched - there's been numerous other permanent suspensions for the same thing.
