i'm thinking about getting paid hosting here, but i'm concerned about the amount of downtime there has been with the free hosting. is the paid hosting downtime anywhere near the free hosting's? also, could i get an example of how often the paid hosting was down in the past month and how long the downtime lasted? thanks.

Paid are also on different servers, so they don't go down when everyone else does. There are many less accounts per server.
k thanks for the info guys, i have another question though. do i need to download and re upload all my files and sql databases when i upgrade? i'm ordering the upgrade right now. will it just transfer all my files over to the new server for me or what?

Are you giving it the right username? It's probably asking for CPanel and not forum.

User name should get to be the same, IF you filled in the information about your current cPanel nick.
Neither the transfer nor the account creation is automated though, so it might take a little while before it's fully set up for you.
