I was importing SQL into phpmyadmin, and it seems that the database was created via phpmyadmin and does not exist in cPanel. I can't assign a user to a non-existent database. How should I go about deleting that database on phpmyadmin?

In short - You can not delete a database using phpMyAdmin - free-hosting accounts do not have Administrator permission in phpMyAdmin

I would delete (drop) all tables from it to save desk space then try - might not work - to rename it to something like "junk01" to get it out of the way

You should open a new thread in here with a title of [ Admin needed to removed database made in error with phpMyAdmin ]
the text can be the same as you used in here
with any luck someone with Administrator permission in MyPhpAdmin will see it and delete that database for you

You can delete databases by going to the MySQL Databases icon in your cPanel. I see your account is using 2 databases and both are listed under that icon along with "delete" links.

Thanks for the quick response! The database I wanted to remove didn't show up in cPanel, but it is now. :)
