drupal issues

hi there. I just installed drupal 7 and am receiving internal server errors as well as 500 errors for anything beyond the splash page for the site. I checked the error log in cpanel and no errors were logged. So i'm not sure where to go from here.

any help would be appreciated. I've read that other people having this issue resolved it by updating their php version, but i've also read that other x10 users had no issues with drupal 7, so maybe boru has a different php version than the users who have met success ?
