Dumb Newbie *basic* Question ...

I've figured out how to upload my site files and they are now sitting in my ftp/incoming folder.

Where do they need to be to become published on my website?

Yes, I did search but I did not find where this was addressed.

PS I'm still seeing Zend & trash on my site.

Okay. I found an html editor in the file manager. Cool. It has defaults on where the files should be saved - and they are what I expected, so I conclude that I am not insane. So I enter the editor, save, and then preview ... 404 error. sheesh. I go back to the browser and enter my site ... Zend & trash.

*sigh*

You need to make sure all of your files that you want viewable to the public to be in "public_html".

Moved them. Reloaded my site in my browser. Still get "Zend & trash"

Of course, there are a lot of other files in my "public_html" folder that I presume to be standard.

Okay, I moved "index.php" OUT of "public_html" and [drumroll] I see my site!

er, well, kinda my site.

On to the next issue.
