Hi Everyone,
It's been quite a while since I set up my web site. It's been over 1 year ago.
I looked for the site builder so I can edit the site but when I chose the site builder icon it would not allow me to edit the existing site. It just insisted on creating a new site.
Is there a way to use the site builder now to edit my site?

Thanks.

Truly,
Emad

You could switch to the cpanel theme, and use the old "File manager" to manually edit and update your site. Granted, that takes the fun out of a site builder.

Hi emaddeco,

It looks like your website was created using "RVSiteBuilder", which we, unfortunately, had to drop support for due to some serious server-side issues it was causing. Our new site builder is unable to edit sites created with RVSiteBuilder.

Thank you,

RVSiteBuilder uses its own proprietary format which is stored using Zend compression - the server understandsZend compression
If you do NOT have access to RVSiteBuilder the site's content (source code) will not be accessible by any of the other site builder tools (programs)

My advice is to avoid the convenience of site builders that use their own proprietary format, since your site's source code is then locked to their editor.
Use a "site builder" that will let you create/update your site - then it compiles (makes) standard source files that you can edit with any code editor

I'm not so sure that RVSiteBuilder does do this, as I can see the source of emaddeco's RVSiteBuilder website in xo1 fine. Where are you seeing this? :)
